Term 3 at school this year was long and tiring for me and the kids. We all really needed a break from everything routine and we have thoroughly enjoyed our two week holiday and feel rested again ready for the busiest term of all - term 4.
In the first week of holidays we saw the movie Hotel Transylvania which the kids really liked.
We also had a day at Movie World (just me and the kids) which was busy busy and tiring.
And we had a trip up to Bribie beach in the wagon for an afternoon of swimming and relaxing and of course some silly sand play.
In the second week we saw another movie which was really good - Diary of a Wimpy Kid (they never fail).
We did some camping shopping getting ready for our caravan to arrive and we had a really nice day at Movie World again with the Searle's. We also had a morning picnic with friends which is always a favourite thing to do.
Now we are spending our last day of holidays getting ready for school tomorrow and watching the racing cars, a nice relaxing way to end a slow paced couple of weeks.
And, I finally sewed some stuff on the holidays too...I really loved sewing again after my little break from it and have ideas running through my head now of what to make next.
On Sunday Emma and I had a girls day at Movie World while the boys stayed home and did gardening. We had a great day together doing all the stuff we wanted to do without having to please the boys... we rode Emma's favourite rides all day and she was super excited when she got to meet and greet some characters and have her photo taken with them.
This ride is the kids version of the giant drop type ride. Emma loves it and although some of these photos are blurry they just show how much she enjoys it so I had to share.
She loves the carousel too.
We also spent a bit of time on Emma's all time favourite ride, the roller coaster but that is just too hard to get photos of.
I'm hoping to get our VIP passes again this year they have been well worth it.
After being inside for most of 3 weeks with terrible rain, we had to get out, so as soon as that sun popped it's head out we were out too. We spent yesterday at Movie World on the Gold Coast. We had an awesome day, it was very very busy and very hot but still fun.
Emma loves this ride, it is like the Giant Drop but for kids.
The carousel is always a good photo op.
The kids got these water bottles that are fans and spray water. They came in very handy.
Nathan has wanted to go on this ride for ages, it shoots you up into the sky and then you fall back down. This was them as they took off... and below is as they came back down...
We had so much fun, we did so much and got to see a really good stunt car show... can't wait til next time.
I have also been sewing, I just forgot to take photos before uploading this post, so I will share soon. I have a big list of projects I want to get sewn (for myself), I wonder how many I will get through?
With our newly purchased VIP passes we headed out yesterday with Toni and the kids for a day at Movie World.
We had our Tweety Santa photo taken, looked in the shops, saw a 4D movie and went on lots of rides. It was a great day, we are looking forward to our next...the kids have already been planning the rides they want to go on next time.
