It was such a nice hot day yesterday that we decided to head to Bribie Island for the late afternoon and evening so the kids to have a play in the water and we could have fish and chips on the water for dinner.
The kids played in the sand, splashed in the water and had a great time.
We came home with a nice pile of cuttlefish for the birds.
And Nathan had a great time catching plenty of crabs and posing for photos with them.
We were under the watchful eye of these guys.
And the sunset was beautiful.
This morning we got up and headed out to Alma Park Zoo for the morning. This guy was in the petting zoo and was cute!
Emma with the goats.
We were travelling with one cool dude!
Does this monkey look evil to anyone else?
The grounds were lovely and lush.
It wouldn't be a trip to the zoo without a visit to the kangaroos.
A random lizard.
And to finish off a picture of the kiddos. Happy Happy.
Alma Park Zoo was nice for a half day visit. The kids and I felt a bit sad that the animals are in cages and some are quite small. We've seen a lot of zoo's and these days the animals tend to be in a much more natural environment in most of them. It was still a nice morning.
On a completely different note, I have started a new sewing project (a long term one) and I will share what it is and my progress soon.
Have a great week!
