Well I call my scrap room my sewing room now, I spend much more time sewing these days and my sewing things are overtaking my room, so I had to reorganise, especially with the amount of fabric I have ordered lately. I now only have 1 row of shelves for papercrafting and the other shelves are for sewing stuff as well as market stall stuff and a few for decorative purposes. This is how my shelves look now (I totally forgot to take a before photo of how disorganised they were)
I have had to really organise my fabric stash to make way for new stuff. I have a shelf for patterned fabric in small quantities (1 metre or less)
Then a shelf for all my plain fabrics.
I have a little pile of fabrics that are larger quantities (this pile is going to grow the most!)
I also have put my webbing here
And then I have a special pile of fabrics that are just for me, I am going to use them to sew things for me and not for selling (they are too good). I am planning on this pile growing too! Those yummy Amy Butler fabrics are on this pile...ooh just love them...
And I had to have a separate shelf for my chenille...which I also LOVE!!!
Now my room is sorted, I can actually see all my fabric and can work happily without the mess...'
I have a project planned for this week using that gorgeous Amy Butler fabric..but am I brave enough to sew with it?
Have a great week!
Well done, Deb! I don't know where you find the time to be so organised. Especially around reporting time.I'm impressed like usual!
