Advent Ideas

This year for our advent calendar I decided that I would do something a little more interesting than chocolate and lollies each day for the kids. So this is what I have decided on. Each day there will be a note telling the kids something to do that day for the lead up to Christmas. (I know some people already do this). I thought I would share some of the things on my list:

• decorate the Christmas tree
• write out Christmas cards
• read a Christmas story
• write letters to Santa
• make a wooden reindeer
• wrap teacher presents
• trip to Brisbane to see the Myer window
• make candy cane reindeers
• visit the Christmas lights
• make reindeer food
• go to the movies
• trip to the zoo
• playdate with friends
• make Christmas crackers
• make paper chains
• watch a Christmas DVD
• bake gingerbread men
• track Santa on the web

I am also going to put chocolates in a couple of the pockets to fill in gaps where I know the day will be busy with work etc.
