Felt Bags

Here are some pictures of the little Easter felt bags that I have made for teachers etc. as Easter gifts. They were really easy to make and they each have a little handful of yummy Cadbury Easter Eggs inside them.

To make them I did the following:

  • cut an A4 piece of felt into 4 equal sections using pinking shears
  • cut around the straight edges using the pinking shears
  • sew around 3 edges using a straight stitch on the sewing machine (the tutorial I got this off actually hand sewed them together)
  • fold over the top edge and using plain scissors cut 4 slits along the fold
  • thread ribbon through the slits
  • fill with eggs and tie ribbon.

It was as easy as that! They look so cute with the patterned felt too.
